Additional Information: The first Whisper book. Came with 12
collector stickers. One oddity is that the end page of the book
finishes with a sentence instead of a picture. Plot of the book
was overall well thought out, I didn't like the illustrations in this
one as well as most of the others. Cover is Blue or aqua.

A Wish for Whisper

Synopsis: Whisper wishes do something besides flying, she's bored
with it. She meets other creatures from the Rainbow Forest and talks
to them about what they are doing. Some are happy with their obligations,
others are not. She eventually meets her friend Dorian, who advises
her to go to the Wishing Pond. Here she meets a goldfish who tells
her that the Wishing Pond is the place where everyone comes to makes wishes.
The fish advises her that the only one who could make her wishes come
true, is herself.

Illustrations are better than Whisper the Winged Unicorn. Cover
is dark pink.

mountains, out of curiosity. She meets several unicorns, saved two
unicorns from evil trolls, and find out that she is a legend to the unicorn
of the island. All of the individual unicorns have powers and she
wonders what her power is. As she journeys back to the Rainbow Forest,
she realizes her power is bring light to the forest.
Additional Information: Came with 12 collector stickers. Cover
is Peach or Apricot. Story isn't that appealing to me, the illustrations
were interesting, no the same pictures of Bixby, Dorian and Phineas that
you see.

as everyone says? She flies to Dark Hollow and collides with a tree.
There she meets an elven man and he takes her back to her home in a cave.
He later tells her that he is the Morg and they have a good laugh about
it.

storyline and illustrations. First time Whisper meet Phineas.

Synopsis: Bixby and Whisper go to visit Jonathan, whom they find
hiding under a rock. Jonathan tells them that two hawks have moved
into the Rainbow Forest. Whisper goes to talk to the hawk and convince
them to leave; they will not. So Bixby, Jonathan, and the other
forest creatures go to steal the hawks eggs when Whisper is talking to
the hawks. The hawks and Whisper arrive in time to see what is happening.
Whisper makes the animals give back the eggs and the hawks promise not
to eat any of the forest friends.

Synopsis: In the Rainbow Forest, Whisper plans to go on a grand adventure.
After many goodbyes she flies away from the forest and just happens to
find Earth. On Earth, Julie has just lost her mother, and now her
father has moved them to a rural area. Whisper, meanwhile is flying
and is hit by an airplane, and plummets to the ground. This is where
Julie and Whisper meet. Whisper is taken back to Julie's farm and
put in the barn. Her father, a veterinary doctor, helps to nurse
Whisper back to health. A curious mail carrier name Tut Tuttle sees
Whisper and starts telling everyone is town he has seen a unicorn on the
doc's farm. Julie and Whisper become close friends, and Julie makes
plans to keep Whisper forever. Julie makes an new friend at her
new school, after an embarrassing and awkward start. She finally
introduces Kim, her new friend, to Whisper. Whisper's wing is nearly
healed, but the sneaky Tut Tuttle comes to take a picture of Whisper.
He gets the picture taken, but it is blurred. Still, Sheriff Billings
and several town members come to the farm to investigate. Just as
the Sheriff is coming in the barn, they hide Whisper and she uses her
magic to change Roscoe's (Julie's horse) coat from brown to white.
Everyone thinks that Roscoe is what Tuttle took a photograph of and they
leave. After lengthy goodbyes, Whisper begins her journey back to
the Rainbow Forest.
Additional Information: Paperback book, with black and white
illustrations. It is larger than any other Whisper book with 63
pages. Very few illustrations are in the book, about 5 total.
I thought that this book was very well written, well worth reading.

realizes that Crystal is not her true friend. She realizes that her best
friends don't have to be like her (a unicorn) and she goes to be with
her real best friends: Grandmother Bear, Phineas, Jonathan, Bixby, and
Dorian.

and goes exploring. She finds a beautiful mirror in the mountain
and stares and admires how beautiful she is. A nearby frog warns
her that if she looked into the mirror for to long, she would fall in.
She becomes angry at the frog's suggestion of her vanity, but none of
her friends want to be around her because she is constantly babbling about
herself. Eventually, she falls into the river by the mountain, and
realizes how silly she looks covered in water. She apologies to
her friends for her vanity and they all are happy again.

I enjoyed the story and moral in this book, very enticing. I loved
the illustrations that Katherine Wilson did for this book, they all really
were beautiful. Cover is Peach.

wolves. Then she goes to pay them a visit, and realizes they aren't
that scary at all. She even invites them to the Spring Fair.

Synopsis: Whisper is approached by Bixby and Jonathan, who are frantic.
They tell Whisper that the hunter is coming, and to run away. As
she starts to run, she realizes that Flora the deer is hurt and cannot
run. Whisper flies toward the hunter and distracts him from the
deer and leads him far enough away from Flora that she would be safe.
The hunter comes back, though, and this time he's after Whisper.
Whisper, Bixby, Jonathan, Flora, and Phineas all hide in Phineas's cave,
and the hunter sits to wait on them to come out. After time passes,
Dorian the dragon approaches and scares off the hunter and saves the day.
Additional Information: Came with 12 collector stickers. Cover:
Peach or apricot. The illustrations were pretty good on this one,
I enjoyed them anyway. The plot was good too, although not one of
my favorites.

Synopsis: Whisper is lonely and realizes that she misses her friend
Sundance. She decides to journey and pay him a visit, but sees him
with a "girl" unicorn and is upset that he has another special
friend. She runs away into the woods but gets her horn stuck in
a tree. Her friend, Sundance, and the girl pony heard her rushing
into the woods and came to check on her. They help her get free
from the tree, and Whisper realizes that Sundance's special friend was
his sister. She feels better, and now has two new friends instead
of one.

is light Pink. Storyline was good, but I didn't like the illustrations
on this one as much as some of the others.

Morg means historian). He was also referred to as Phineas Morganus.
Falco
Synopsis: Whisper's friend Dorian has taken ill when he accidentally
ate some dragon bane. Dragon bane, a mystical and mysterious herb,
was used to manipulate dragons into doing the will of wizards. Dorian
must be saved before the dragon's bane causes him to turn against everyone
in the Rainbow Forest. Whisper's flies to the faraway lands of the
Wizard's Roost to see out the secret of dragon's bane. She flies
toward the Mountain of Fire and collapses. When she awakens she
is confronted by Falco. Falco is a beautiful black unicorn who tells
her that the Wizard's Roost no longer exists. He tells Whisper that
he knows the secret of the dragon bane, once he earns her trust he enslaves
her.
Falco
turns from the beautiful unicorn into an evil wizard. He tells her
he is going to take her horn and use it to control Dorian. Whisper
escapes from the clutches of Falco and flies back to Dorian. She
tells Phineas what the secret of dragon bane was, and he takes a sliver
from her horn and makes the antidote. Dorian is now out of control
and begins to attack, but Phineas throws the vial of the antidote at him
and it bursts. Dorian is cured. Everyone lives happily ever
after.

This is an intermediate readers book It is very well written and
well illustrated. It has 8 colored illustrations.
